Cycling

Known as  "The Island of a Thousand Cycles" there are three bike hire shops in Millport each offering a variety of cycles for all the family including tandems,tridems, tag-ons and some very unique cycles. All at extremely reasonable rates.
Certificates are awarded for cycling round the island.
Many fund raisers take up the challenge of cycling round the Island (10.25 miles), it's not unusual to see groups in weird & wonderful fancy dress enjoying the other attractions of the Island after having completed their cycle.

The decorated bike competition during the September Weekend festivities is an event enjoyed by many children.

The ferry service carries cycles for free
